Since 1870, this high-end restaurant, located on a charming square near the Campidoglio, has been serving traditional cuisine in an elegant setting. Its seafood specialities are a great success. All the more so as they reflect the codes of a typically Roman gastronomy, modernised and lightened. The antipasti buffet is splendid and of great variety. The menu follows the seasons, with salads in summer and hot dishes, especially polenta, in winter. A choice address in the centre.

If I could give it zero stars I would. A tiny steak with a packet of crisps for €28?? Awful and so so salty. Very grumpy service, and an astronomic service charge for the privilege of having an upset stomach. What a shame.

Per il cibo avrei dato 4 o persino 5 stelle ma è davvero sgradevole mangiare in un posto dove gestore e camerieri non riescono nemmeno ad accennare un sorriso, tutti malmostosi e imbronciati, il sevizio fa parte del piacere di un ristorante.
