A fillet of fried cod to take away or to enjoy on the square, for a real Roman experience! We lick each other's fingers!

The famous address for delicious, typically Roman, breaded and fried cod fillets. Wrapped in a paper napkin to take away with you, or eaten at the table in the small piazza, accompanied by a variety of small appetizers, filetti di baccala has won over more than one person. The line-up on Saturday evenings is a bit of a deterrent, but once you've had your fill, it's well worth it. Otherwise, go during the week, it's much quieter.

Filetti di baccalà buoni e gustosi! locale molto spartano. Prezzi che salgono sempre e orari purtroppo solo serali!

It's pretty fast and furious, and the staff can make it feel like you're being rushed through the whole process: they hand you a menu, but really the only question is what do you want before the fish and do you want dessert (we had the anchovies and butter - seriously yum). But that's because the deep-fried, salted cod is out of this world amazing, it's why you're here, don't leave Rome, or even Italy, before coming here for the fish. Colosseum?, nope, I'm saving to fly back to Rome just for this dish.
