Not far from the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, Al Grottino is a big hit in the neighborhood. You'll love its pizza dough, which is neither too crunchy nor too thick. The menu is extensive and the choices are all tempting. We particularly liked the "campagnola" pizza topped with speck and truffle sauce. You can also create your own pizza by choosing from a host of ingredients. Desserts are good, and a wide selection of wines and beers is on the menu. And as an added bonus, the service is all smiles!
