Eating in railway stations is often discouraged, but Mercato Centrale is an exception! This enormous restaurant offers specialties from all over Italy. Various small stalls offer pasta, fried food, pizza, trapizzini ( pizza bianca rolled into a cone and stuffed) and pastries. Quality products at reasonable prices. We love the warm hubbub on the first floor and the cozier atmosphere of the restaurant on the second floor. Discover it as soon as you arrive at the station!

The selection is large and we tried from different stations. The central display should show when the food is ready - but it did NOT. It was a chaos!
The food was terrible. The burger was a heavily mixed patti with a piece of bread. The gnocchi was chewy and rubbery. Unfortunately the grill plates were also terrible.
