Since 1906, La Carbonara has been an institution in Rome, for its eponymous pasta of course, which locals and tourists alike devour with large rolls on tightly packed tables where the privacy of conversation is only respected if your neighbors don't speak your language. A canteen atmosphere, with words and photos of visitors lining the walls, reasonable prices and hearty, tasty Roman dishes. Of course, the first thing you'll try is a real carbonara. And on Thursdays in Rome, it's traditional to succumb to gnocchi !

Restaurant that does not look of much from the outside but it is enough to push the door to be drizzled with Italy! The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm with its wooden bar, the cutting of ham under our eyes, the walls decorated by the words to all guests and photos of famous people, or not, who came to taste the pasta carbonara! the real recipe, without cream! a delight! cheap in more! there are only pasta, there are other Roman specialities (tripe, cod...) you do not find necessarily in restaurants " with touristes" and then at exorbitant prices. 2 times that I go, 2 years of entre-deux, and never disappointed. I recommend.
Beware, do not confuse with the restaurant Carbonara in Campio del Fiori!
