Gabriele Bonci set up his bread and pizza oven in this little store tucked between a barbershop and a drugstore. And it was from here that he conquered Rome and the Romans, so much so that he even hosted the best forno competition on Italian television! Few tourists venture down this one-way street. Yet it's here that you'll find some of the best - and certainly most famous - pizza al taglio in the Italian capital. Refined dough and choice ingredients are the hallmarks of Bonci's success.

Interesting concept. Pizzas at the kilo. One selected the length of the pizza that L you want then the weight. We were very well received and managed in our choices by a waiter that spoke French. Eat take-away. Few tables and standing. Pizzas completely different from those has used to find in France. Bread dough really standard. Less noise. Particularly loud music but as pas.sur place is not eaten, that was not irritating. Interesting to eat on the go when you are in the area.
