It is an abbey of Trappist Cistercians of the strict observance. The Three Fountains Monastery is located in the EUR area. It was here that St. Paul is said to have been martyred and that his head, when falling, caused three fountains to spring up. Today, the so-called "three fountains" are three altars arranged around the pillar where the disciple of Christ was tied. The abbey welcomes guests for spiritual retreats in accordance with the rule of Saint Benedict.

Da scoprire un gioiello della cristianità nella chiesa piccolina da dove si accede nella cripta ove fu rinchiuso San Paolo con ceppo marmoreo ove capitolò la testa con un colpo di spada. Scendete giù di sotto e sarete in un'altra epoca. Il top .

Incantevole e profondamente spirituale. Una volta entrati nel viale alberato non sembra più di essere a Roma a due passi dalla Laurantina ma indietro nel tempo. Posto meraviglioso sicuramente da visitare.

Un lieu exceptionnel. Loin de la foule du centre de Rome, l'abbaye est certes excentrée, mais c'est un lieu magnifique, absolument calme et d'une telle richesse (il n'y avait presque personne lors de ma visite). On y brasse également la seule bière trappiste d'Italie, vendue dans la boutique attenante : un délice. J'y reviendrai avec plaisir lors d'un prochain séjour à Rome.

Un'esperienza da vivere, si ha l'impressione di non trovarsi al centro di Roma. Spaccio dell'abbazia fornitissimo e da visitare sicuramente e per quanto mi riguarda la birra trappista è veramente di alta qualità.
