G-Rough was PERFECT!
We were welcomed by a friendly staff who was very attentive to our needs, and remembered who we were as we came and went and asked us every morning and evening how our day was and were excited to know what we were going to visit and see around town.
Each morning we had coffee and a light breakfast at the bar and were welcomed by the friendly breakfast staff who remembered what we had from the day before.
The room was clean and well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay.
The next time we're visiting Rome, we might even schedule our visit around room availability here.
It's a beautiful place to stay and we're so happy we found it.
Have not slept all night thanks to the current situation.
No fault of the staff but:
- Room is freezing (6 Celsius outside at the moment and no heating in the room)
- Thermostat not working
- phone not working
- no room service whatsoever
- no option to restock minibar
- no one to help with luggages
At this point would be happy just if breakfast goes smoothly
Prachtige lederen clubzetels en een heel leuke aankleding!! Originele '70 meubilair.
Aanrader met stijl in het drukke Rome.
Biggest item was that they put a hold on my card for a full night stay on a points only reservation. Talked to marriott and this wasn't compliant with their policy, so they opened a ticket. This property is just part of the bonvoy program and is an independent hotel. They claimed this was to hold the stay, however as a LT member, I have fairly late cancelation rights making that a moot point. Moreover, they did it over a week ahead of the stay, making it all the more absurd. Took 10 emails and I couldn't even get them to confirm that it was down as a points stay. As a result, we canceled our second night on our outbound leg and switched to the Edition - really recommend staying there instead as it's a full service hotel.
Location is OK - easy to walk to many things close by, but also buried in the middle of a busy area and is quite small - taxi refused to drop us off there and made us walk about 2-300m to the door, crossing a busy street with checked and carry on luggage. They were able to arrange car service to the airport which was a much better experience and picked us up directly at the door.
La déco des chambres très belle, chaque détaille est choisi avec goût et amour.
Merci à toute l'équipe
We were allocated a room on the first floor which is directly above the bar. There is no sound proofing between the levels making it impossible to sleep as the bar is open until 12.00am or later.
We asked the hotel manager to turn down the music and he literally turned it up, smiled and walked back to his group of friends to party like the hotel was his personal playroom.
There are better options in Rome…stay away from this place!!!
We checked in and they walked us up to the room. We noticed the room was very hot. They said the AC just was on the wrong setting and it should cool in a hour.
Well we slept in a hot box that night.
We reported it again the next day. They said they were going to have someone come by that day and look at the AC. Never happened.
Slept in a hot box again.
Then we left! They said they were going to get with management about some refunds.
Nothing yet!
The sky light is a massive issue. It brings so much heat into the room. The sky light also doesn’t shut all the way which also lets heat in.
The AC unit upstairs doesn’t do anything. The one in the bedroom blows air with a slight coolness. But, no where close to being able to cool the room when it’s Italy Hot!
All in all. If your going to charge these type of rates. Just get someone over and fix it when you know a issue is happening.
Pretty simple.
