Well designed bar with high end pretty expensive cocktails. Pleasure to spend an evening in. Stands out in this very touristy area.

Hands down one of the best quirky luxury hotels in have ever been. Mr and mrs smith chain never disappoints. Not only it looks rustic and has all the amenities, but Stephano the manager was very kind and offered us a welcome drinks with great stories just the experience youread about in novels. You get to fill a slip for the breakfast and choose where to be served, sito the restaurant, bar or room. When we got down for breakfast, our table was already ready woth a basket of soft and fresh bakery along with fruits. The lady was cooking right infront of us, it was like dining in your mama’s kitchen. I ate the meal so fast i forgot to take a picture of before. I will leave now with the pictures our room is osvaldo.

My wife and I visited Rome in January and we're looking for a place to stay that offered excellent walking location to see all of the major Roman locations and museums.

G-Rough was PERFECT!

We were welcomed by a friendly staff who was very attentive to our needs, and remembered who we were as we came and went and asked us every morning and evening how our day was and were excited to know what we were going to visit and see around town.

Each morning we had coffee and a light breakfast at the bar and were welcomed by the friendly breakfast staff who remembered what we had from the day before.

The room was clean and well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay.

The next time we're visiting Rome, we might even schedule our visit around room availability here.

It's a beautiful place to stay and we're so happy we found it.

Right from the moment we arrived we loved it. A complimentary welcome drink in the bar while our perfect room was readied. Recommendations on meals etc were good and nothing was too much trouble. Our new fav hotel in Rome. See you next time

…Rough stay to say the least, especially given the rate charged

Have not slept all night thanks to the current situation.

No fault of the staff but:

- Room is freezing (6 Celsius outside at the moment and no heating in the room)
- Thermostat not working
- phone not working
- no room service whatsoever
- no option to restock minibar
- no one to help with luggages

At this point would be happy just if breakfast goes smoothly

Aperitief gaan drinken.! Heel leuke, rustige setting.
Prachtige lederen clubzetels en een heel leuke aankleding!! Originele '70 meubilair.

Aanrader met stijl in het drukke Rome.

Generally, the rooms were pretty nice, minus the paint peeling in the bathroom. Had a couple of issues such as when the solid waste button was pushed, it would go for minutes - apparently you just need to hit the other button to make it stop. Haven't seen this issue in the states, so perhaps it's a regional thing. Elevators are absurdly small - if you have checked luggage and traveling with someone, you'll likely need to ride the elevator separately.

Biggest item was that they put a hold on my card for a full night stay on a points only reservation. Talked to marriott and this wasn't compliant with their policy, so they opened a ticket. This property is just part of the bonvoy program and is an independent hotel. They claimed this was to hold the stay, however as a LT member, I have fairly late cancelation rights making that a moot point. Moreover, they did it over a week ahead of the stay, making it all the more absurd. Took 10 emails and I couldn't even get them to confirm that it was down as a points stay. As a result, we canceled our second night on our outbound leg and switched to the Edition - really recommend staying there instead as it's a full service hotel.

Location is OK - easy to walk to many things close by, but also buried in the middle of a busy area and is quite small - taxi refused to drop us off there and made us walk about 2-300m to the door, crossing a busy street with checked and carry on luggage. They were able to arrange car service to the airport which was a much better experience and picked us up directly at the door.

While I did not stay at this hotel, I stumbled upon the cafe/bar on the first floor on an afternoon and LOVED it. It was the perfect place to sit and have a cappuccino or a drink and read/rest. I stayed for a couple of hours, the cafe staff were super friendly and accommodating. The music and ambience is just perfect in this spot. The decor is so well done. With your cocktail they bring out a complimentary plate of lite bites to snack on. I highly recommend this place!!

This place is a rare gem. It's hard to find a hotel that feels like a home. I love the way the staff was casual, cool, yet so helpful. Often times hotels are so formal and this felt like they were our friends. Location was 10/10 perfect. So walkable.

I have stayed at this place a number of times…only to find a new hotel manager on my last stay. The manager is a liar, agressive and made me (and other guests) fell very unsafe.

We were allocated a room on the first floor which is directly above the bar. There is no sound proofing between the levels making it impossible to sleep as the bar is open until 12.00am or later.

We asked the hotel manager to turn down the music and he literally turned it up, smiled and walked back to his group of friends to party like the hotel was his personal playroom.

There are better options in Rome…stay away from this place!!!

Stumbled on this place on the way to dinner and had the best Negroni I’ve had in quite a while. Great vibe and service!

Do not stay in the room on the fifth floor with the skylight.

We checked in and they walked us up to the room. We noticed the room was very hot. They said the AC just was on the wrong setting and it should cool in a hour.

Well we slept in a hot box that night.

We reported it again the next day. They said they were going to have someone come by that day and look at the AC. Never happened.

Slept in a hot box again.

Then we left! They said they were going to get with management about some refunds.

Nothing yet!

The sky light is a massive issue. It brings so much heat into the room. The sky light also doesn’t shut all the way which also lets heat in.

The AC unit upstairs doesn’t do anything. The one in the bedroom blows air with a slight coolness. But, no where close to being able to cool the room when it’s Italy Hot!

All in all. If your going to charge these type of rates. Just get someone over and fix it when you know a issue is happening.

Pretty simple.
