One of the historical addresses in the world of Roman palaces, the Hotel d'Angleterre boasts a long tradition of hospitality dating back to the 16th century. The large number of British guests earned him his nickname "d'Angleterre". We should have been advised of building works when we booked.
We were all very disappointed. Stay at the Russie.
They are in the middle of renovations. Our first room was a very nice and spacious renovated room but faced scaffolding. When we asked for a room with a window, they moved us to a street view room which was not renovated but very comfortable as well.
Overall, a great hotel! Great location right by the Spanish steps and short walk to the trevi fountain/pantheon. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return! We highly recommend!
