They are simply arranged, relying on comfort and a wide range of equipment. The most beautiful part is the beautiful roof terrace which allows you to enjoy the central location of the hotel and the sun of Rome at breakfast time, while having a very beautiful view over the typical alleys of the historic centre and the rione Campo Marzio.

The Hotel Portoghesi is a lovely little gem set in a neighborhood of cozy shops and restaurants and polished to a high gleam by its attentive staff (notably Giuseppe and David at the front desk and the always-smiling Vincenza, serving an array of breakfast options each morning on the top floor). All-in-all, The Hotel Portoghesi offers comfortable lodging with a personal touch that larger, swankier hotels can't match.

Very nice hotel stay for us. Our room was spacious and wonderful. We found the mattress on the hard side and wished for a softer mattress or pillow topper. The location is fantastic and quiet. The staff was one of the best parts of the stay. Very polite and helpful.

All in all we were very satisfied and the thought the hotel was a very good value for the money.
