Also known as Natale di Roma (Rome's Christmas), the birth of the Eternal City is celebrated on April 21! Remember that the city was founded in 753 B.C., making it 2777 years old in 2024, no less! To mark the occasion, every year concerts, exhibitions, children's games, fireworks displays and solemn ceremonies are held in Piazza del Campidoglio and along the Tiber. An opportunity for Romans and visitors alike to celebrate the legend of Remus and Romulus and the she-wolf who saved them in a festive atmosphere.
