Church decorated with frescoes evoking the story of Susanna and the old men.
This church appears to be the twin sister of Santa Maria della Vittoria, just next door. It's an ancient basilica rebuilt by Maderno (1600), who added an interesting facade with engaged columns and pediments creating the light effects that would become fashionable in the following century. The interior is decorated with frescoes telling the story of Susanna and the old men. It is also the parish church of Rome's American Catholic community.
