CHIESA DI SAN CARLO AI CATINARI
This church was commissioned by the Barnabites in honour of Saint Charles Borromeo. Designed by Rosato Rosati between 1612 and 1620, it is decorated with beautiful frescoes depicting the life of the saint. It features works by Giovanni Lanfranco, Pietro Da Cortona, Guido Reni and, in the sacristy, a bronze crucifix attributed to Alessandro Algardi, as well as a work by the Cavalier d'Arpin. Finally, in the left nave, in the second chapel, the Dominiquin painted the four cardinal virtues: prudence, temperance, strength and justice.
