Mausoleum of the fourth century with remarkable mosaics in Rome.
Daughter of Constantine, Constance was cured of leprosy after spending a night near the tomb of Saint Agnes. Dating from the 4thcentury , her mausoleum retains its original architecture and period mosaics. The building is round. The dome rests on twin columns, outside which is a sort of vaulted ambulatory decorated with pre-Christian floral mosaics. The niches beneath the vault are more recent.
