CANCELLATION PALACE
Seat of the papal chancellery, the finest example of Tuscan Renaissance style in Rome.
The seat of the papal chancellery from the 16th century onwards, the palace has been part of the Vatican since the Lateran Accords. It is the finest example of the Tuscan Renaissance style in Rome. Bramante is said to have participated in its construction, and Vasari created the Hall of the Hundred Days, so named because he boasted of having painted it in just 100 days. Inside the Palazzo della Cancelleria, an interactive museum is dedicated to the various machines conceived by Leonardo da Vinci.
