QUIRINALE PALAZZO
Palace with a beautiful gallery and frescoes of the sixteenth century, the residence of the President of the Italian Republic.
The Quirinal Palace is the residence of the President of the Italian Republic, after having been the residence of the kings of Italy and the popes. Its construction began in 1573, and great 17th century architects such as Maderno and Bernini worked there. Among the treasures of this palace: a gallery decorated by Pietro Da Cortona, 16th century frescoes and a small church named Paolina with a ceiling decorated with golden roses. Also worth seeing are the Yellow Room, the Ice Room and the Ambassador's Room. Restored, the stables host exhibitions of major interest.
