COLLEZIONE D'ARTE RELIGIOSA MODERNA
Museum exhibiting a rich collection of modern religious art in Rome.
Paul VI inaugurated the Collection of Modern Religious Art in 1973. The museum has a rich collection, ranging from Bona De Pisis to Paul Klee, Buffet, Giorgio Morandi, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso and Jean Bazaine, to name a few. Due to lack of space, the museum has annexed, in addition to the Borgia apartments, the adjoining rooms around the Papagalli courtyard and the small rooms on the upper floor, as well as a vast space under the Sistine Chapel.
