Hill, for a long walk, with a beautiful view of Rome.
This hill borders Rome on the west, between the Vatican and Trastevere, and marked the border of the Etruscan country. Janus settled on the Janiculum, he had two faces looking in two opposite directions. He was the god of passage (hence the month of January) and of war. The long walk of the Janiculum is a balcony, from which one has the most complete views of Rome. It is in the evening that the view is the most precise and the most extensive.
