A populated and popular area, with gardens, stores and walls in Rome.

The district was built in the 1920s by architects such as Marcello Piacentini, the architect of the Fascist regime, according to the concept of "garden district", designed to reconcile aesthetics and practicality. It is a popular neighborhood, the dwellings are located in small houses or three-story buildings with particular attention to detail and diversity of styles. La Garbatella is in fact divided into lots occupied by buildings surrounding gardens, courtyards, stores, etc.
