San Lorenzo is a neighborhood located at the beginning of via Tiburtina, next to Termini station, to the east of the historic center. A neighborhood of working-class origins, it still retains a typical Roman style. It's also home to the university campus, which attracts a large number of students. Pigneto lies further south, along the Termini rail line. A former slum, it was a great inspiration to Pier Paolo Pasolini. Gentrified over the years, Pigneto has not lost its charm.
