MUSEO NAZIONALE ROMANO - CRYPTA BALBI
Rome's Museum of Archaeology, featuring exhibitions of numerous remains, an exedra decorated with statues and a quadriportico.
The Crypta Balbi dates back to the 1st century B.C. and used to welcome the public during breaks in the performances that took place in the nearby theater. Today, it's a three-storey archaeological museum displaying countless relics uncovered during various excavations. There's also an exedra decorated with statues and the Porticus Minucia Frumentaria, a quadriporticus from which wheat was distributed free of charge to Roman citizens.
