DOMUS TIBERIANA
The first imperial palace to be visited in Rome, this monument allows you to discover the places of worship and the residential part of the site.
Closed to the public since the 1970s, the Domus Tiberiana reopened its doors in September 2023. Built on the north-western slope of the Palatine in the 1st century, this was the first imperial palace, which included places of worship and a residential area. The imperial palace remained in use until the 7th century, and in the 16th century the Farnese family built the Horti Farnesiani on its terraces. The tour is divided into seven rooms, each with a view of the Roman Forum. A holographic reconstruction of the monument is also available.
