ROSATI
A bar, ice cream parlour and patisserie since 1922, Rosati is located in one of Rome's prettiest squares: the Piazza del Popolo. Like the Parisian Café de Flore, many Roman artists used to meet here: from the poet Trilussa to the writer Alberto Moravia, not forgetting Federico Fellini. We go to Rosati's for a coffee, but avoid the restaurant, which doesn't really uphold the establishment's reputation. If we mention Rosati in this guide, it's more for its location and history, as prices are high and service is a little rushed.
