Budget & Tips Rome
Accommodation in Rome can be very expensive: depending on the season, prices can double. To reduce the cost of museum visits, the Roma Pass is a good option.
Possible budgets per person per day:
Small budget in a youth hostel or simple hotel, with a meal in a trattoria, a museum and a drink in the evening: €100 to €130.
Medium budget in a 2 or 3-star hotel, with a meal in a restaurant, a museum, a drink and a show: €140 to €200.
Comfortable budget in a luxury hotel, with two meals in a restaurant, a museum, two drinks and an evening in a club: €400 and more.
Passport and visas Rome
As a European Union national, there are no special formalities: identity card or valid passport.
Driver's license Rome
A European driving licence allows you to drive in Rome.
Health Rome
No particular health risk. The water is drinkable everywhere, even in the city's fountains.
Security Rome
Rome is a rather quiet capital. However, beware of pickpockets in tourist areas.

Electricity and measurements Rome
Italian voltage is the same as in France, i.e. 220 volts. However, the sockets are sometimes different, with three holes (in which case an adapter is required).
Luggage Rome
Sober, practical clothes for the day and for visits - especially a stole to cover yourself in the churches. And, above all, good shoes! In the summer, it's a good idea to pack a mosquito repellent.
