PARCO VILLA GREGORIANA
Park with a villa, caves and a beautiful waterfall in Tivoli.
Following the floods of the first half of the 19th century, Pope Gregory XVI launched major development works: the bridge located to the west of Piazza Massimo, not far from the villa, was completed with the creation of caves and galleries allowing the river to take a new route. These are the installations that can be found in the vast park surrounding the villa, which culminates in the magnificent "great waterfall" 160 m high. By taking the same road to Avezzano, you can access the waterfall, the most romantic of Tivoli's visits.
