Park with a villa, caves and a beautiful waterfall in Tivoli.

Following the floods of the first half of the ^19th century, Pope Gregory XVI launched a major redevelopment project: in addition to the bridge on the west side of Piazza Massimo, not far from the villa, grottoes and galleries were created to allow the river to take a new course. These installations can be found in the vast park surrounding the villa, culminating in the magnificent 160 m-high "grande cascade". If you take the same Avezzano road, you'll reach the waterfall, the most romantic of all Tivoli visits.

Belle balade dans parc à cascades

Balade de 3 km dans ce parc aménagé autour de grottes et de cascades. Il faut avoir une bonne forme physique. Beau temps conseillé.

Petite promenade facile, on peut y trouver de la fraîcheur en été, mais l'intérêt est plutôt limité. Bien comme ballade digestive. A ce sujet, un bon restaurant juste en face de l'entrée de la villa: "Da Alfredo", très bon rapport qualité/prix, des locaux nous l'avaient recommandé !
