PARCO VILLA GREGORIANA
Park with a villa, caves and a beautiful waterfall in Tivoli.
Following the floods of the first half of the 19th century, Pope Gregory XVI launched a major redevelopment project: in addition to the bridge on the west side of Piazza Massimo, not far from the villa, grottoes and galleries were created to allow the river to take a new course. These installations can be found in the vast park surrounding the villa, culminating in the magnificent 160 m-high "grande cascade". If you take the same Avezzano road, you'll reach the waterfall, the most romantic of all Tivoli visits.
