Great location, friendly staff, horrible restaurant. We were hoping for a newer and better establishment based on the price we paid. Building was old, rooms were old. The hotel can really use a renovation.

The rooms are small... no view... the design and layout has not aged well and the main hallways are run down and tattered..

The location is great, minimal walking to beach.

The room is small, the mini fridge didn't work and overall it felt like they put minimal effort to keeping things updated in the room or the hotel.

I would have provided a 4 or 5 star however the front desk staff were incredibly negligent. When I mentioned the fridge was broken they didn't care or apologize. The worst part was the noise, I complained about the noise and they said they would send security to deal with it. 45 minutes later they didn't deal with the noise issue, I had to call 3 times and meet the security guard personally to have this dealt with. The noise was happening at 2AM, this should be the time of day a person can get some sleep.

The front desk lady who worked overnight on wednesday 3/13 didn't care at all about how bad our experience was, she offered no apology and I don't think she even contacted security when I first complained about noise.

If you want to get sleep, try another hotel further north.

Excellent location, amazing staff, reasonably priced, and a gorgeous view from the rooftop.

People who complain about the noise need to reevaluate where they are vacationing, even with it being spring break the noise was minimal.

Nous avons passé 4 jours au roof top de cet hôtel. Tout était parfait jusqu’au dernier jour où le manager (si on peut appeler ça comme ça) nous a demandé de payer 20$ pour rester sur les lieux (je précise que nous avons dépensé plus de 3000$ à 5 en 4 jours). J’accepte de payer 20$ mais il me dit qu’il prends uniquement du cash alors que je viens de payer mon verre de vin en CB…

Heureusement que Sasha est là pour donner un peu de convivialité et de bonne humeur et faire passer le comportement plus que inacceptable de ce « manager ».

Rude over the phone. Instead of listening she told me to call whoever I booked with. As if I personally insulted her by not booking directly. Well... In 2024 there's online access and cheaper rates available. I will simply never call back. This is why we don't like talking on the Phone! Thanks Karen. Will update as the trip progresses. But don't call with questions. You'll regret it immediately. Also, resort fees are stupid. Stop charging for every little thing separately.

Excellent location and friendly staff made our trip! The hotel is well maintained and in a great location to so many restaurants and of course the beach! Our favorite part was the roof top pool party on Sunday which was so fun and the staff were lovely. Would recommend Dream South Beach for a fun getaway !

Cooles Hotel, großartige Gegend. Vor allem der Pool auf der Dach-Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer wirklich toll.

I think people over-value this place due to proximity. There is such a need for affordable hotels, that this place probably won't ever shutter (not any time soon at least).

I'm grateful it was near the beach, since the pool is more like an overgrown bathtub.

I like the front patio. The showers were nice. I think the cleaning people were the nicest. Front desk people were hit or miss.

I was annoyed that the toilet in my first room was broken. When the maintenance guy came to fix it, it was such a shoddy job, that within 15 minutes it was broken again.

They tried to bring in another maintenance guy (more competent I guess), but we were already packing up to go to a new room.

It wasn't a very pro-active staff. You needed to ask for stuff they promised you, it wasn't just given.

Coffee was only out from 7:30-9 AM. They just seemed like they did a lot on the cheap, and a lot of the staff had an attitude like they didn't want to be working there.

It's a shame too, as it could be so much better.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel, Lage kann nicht besser sein für Leute, die nahe am Ocean Drive sein wollen. Unser Zimmer war meistens sehr ruhig, Fenster und Türen sind jedoch sehr hellhörig. Zimmer war ok, etwas runter gekommen und klein aber man hatte alles, was man brauchte. Der Zimmerservice sowie die Portiers waren super. Rezeption war meistens freundlich, weibliches Rezeptionspersonal wirkte oft unmotiviert und genervt. Pool klein aber fein, leider hat das Wetter nicht mitgespielt.
