LENNOX MIAMI BEACH
Hotel with swimming pool, rooms with Patagonian wood furniture and Mediterranean cuisine
This hotel, opening in 2019 in the heart of South Beach, takes its place in an Art Deco setting: four interconnected buildings built in 1936 by architect Russell Pancoast. The Lennox replaces the original Peter Miller Hotel, as indicated by the retro lettered sign still visible on the façade. We appreciate the natural atmosphere of the 119 rooms, highlighted by the Patagonian wood furniture. The pool is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the hotel. The Amalia restaurant offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine made with fresh products.

We stayed in a deluxe room, which was nicely furnished, but I could have wished for better space to hang long dresses. The hotel is located in a quiet area, but close to everything.
My fiancé and I booked 6 nights for Dec 25-31 2023. We made this booking 8 months out (Apr 2023), well in advance.
8 weeks after our booking we get a message stating that the hotel had made an ‘obvious mistake’ with their rates at the time we booked Lennox Miami, and they were asking an additional $200USD per night in order for us to keep our reservation - a 49% increase from the initial rate we booked at. Back when we had booked, Lennox Miami had very comparable rates to the surround hotels - nothing about their rate hinted at it being an error. Having paid for our booking we considered our reservation a binding contract as the hotel had accepted payment. We relayed this to Lennox Miami, and that we are not paying an additional amount.
With no response for several days, we then suddenly got a cancellation email. No communication or follow up prior to, just a straight up cancellation.
Seeing Lennox Miami’s recent reviews it’s clear that this hotel’s service, quality, and standing has dropped. The way we see it: my fiancé and I dodged a bullet.
This hotel is mediocre and their service is nonexistent. The surrounding hotels have better quality, more consistent reviews, and proper communication with their upcoming guests.
