First CitizenM located in Miami with reasonable rates, ideal for a comfortable stay with meeting rooms
In the heart of downtown, we find the concept of the luxurious but accessible hotel. The rates are reasonable. Everything has been designed to make your stay comfortable, whether you are in Miami for business or pleasure. The rooms are small but very well appointed. A friendly lounge decorated with works of local artists and meeting rooms are available. Want to relax? Why not enjoy the rooftop pool or one of the terraces?

My husband and I recently chose CitizenM Worldcenter for our 6-night stay during Ultra Miami 2024, marking our first experience with the CitizenM chain. Our anticipation was met with a blend of remarkable highs and unfortunate lows.
The Highlights:
The hotel's interior design is nothing short of stunning. Each corner of the hotel showcases meticulous attention to detail, reflecting a beautiful execution of the brand's vision. The common areas boast spacious and comfortable settings, ensuring a pleasant communal experience. The hotel is clean, and the self-check-in option was awesome. Its prime location is a boon, with a 24-hour CVS, merely a three-minute walk away, alongside a variety of dining options including sushi place, pizza place, and breakfast cafes. The proximity to the metro further elevates its convenient location. The hotel's food was delicious.
The Setbacks:
Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several discomforting events. One morning, a fire alarm abruptly disrupted our peace, followed by a flooding issue within the hotel (so we were told by another guest whose room got moved).
Despite the noticeable response with fans and dehumidifiers placed in the hallway right next to our room, another day that beeping was a source of sleep interruption again, and, surprisingly, there was no direct communication from the hotel staff regarding room changes or updates. The rooms, albeit beautifully designed, were so small. The waterview from our room, while appreciated, could not compensate for these inconveniences.
Furthermore, the night bar staff seemed less than welcoming, possibly due to a disparity in reception towards the festival crowd. A particularly distressing incident involved a heated confrontation between hotel staff and a young festival-goer, leading to an arrest - a sight that was far from pleasant (Sunday, the 24th)
An odd and somewhat humorous incident occurred when a staff member inadvertently unlocked the stalls in the lobby bathrooms while occupied, showcasing a lapse in privacy and discretion. The rooftop bar is called "night swim," but the pool closes at 7:00 pm. The hotel is near some busy streets, so be prepared for road noise.
Final Thoughts:
While the hotel’s design and day staff deserve accolades for their exemplary efforts, the overall hospitality and management during our stay left much to be desired. The disconnect between the hotel staff and the festival attendees was palpable, affecting the overall experience. It's disheartening to note that the vibrancy and energy brought by the fest crowd seemed at odds with the hotel's atmosphere, as reflected in the lack of engagement from the staff regarding our stay. Despite the visual appeal and strategic location of CitizenM Worldcenter, the challenges we faced led me to grant a 3-star rating solely in appreciation of the hotel's design and the commendable day staff.
For future guests, especially those attending festivals or large events, it may be worth considering how the hotel's vibe and guest management align with your expectations for a comfortable and engaging stay.
I loved it, it was a great place and the prices were super affordable, hehehe.
