THE NATIONAL HOTEL
Hotel with a huge pool (the longest in South Beach) with spacious and bright rooms and suites.
In the heart of South Beach, the National Hotel is one of the iconic hotels of Art Deco architecture in Miami Beach. It offers 116 rooms and 36 suites, spacious and bright with a nice touch of period glamour. But the real treasure of the hotel remains the beautiful and immense swimming pool of the establishment, the longest of South Beach with its 62 m, a true happiness! Just behind it, the Aqua Bar awaits you with its tropical atmosphere where mojitos flow freely while a small path leads straight to the beach where deckchairs await the hotel's guests.

The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
• historic art deco building
• Room was very nice & clean, enjoyed the Nespresso coffee
• balcony with pool & ocean view
• excellent location on beach on Collins Ave
• beautiful & lush pool area
• pretty calm & quiet by the pool
• food was good
Average parts of staying at The National:
• Bed comfort was average, nothing special. For the price you would think the bed would be more comfortable.
• Good service
Worst parts of staying at The National:
• Rampant cigar & cigarette smoking by the pool
• run down pool area - look at my
picture, there's an entire section blocked off by caution tape that includes four broken swings- this is not a luxury property but you pay luxury prices
• not enough lounge chairs by the pool- they put you on a waiting list & it's takes a long time to get a lounge chair
• lots of wasted space around the pool- see my picture. They could have at least 10 additional lounge chairs to alleviate the high demand for lounge chairs
• obnoxiously loud music at pool
Considering there are so many options in Miami Beach, I would not stay here again.
I can't speak to the quality of staying here as a guest, but if this is how they treat people attending events at their hotel, I can't imagine the hotel service is much better. Also, if you're going to drive up to the venue, they're going to charge you for valet parking, with no alternative.
