The yoga instructors were also great! Bruno and Shawna were noteworthy instructors !!!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed being able to do a yoga class prior to the more challenging classes with Michael.
Mas a localização é boa, em med beach.
O restaurante é bom, mas cobra caro, como qualquer outro hotel da região.
Currently vacationing here for my birthday. Broken lock on the door caused me to be locked in the hotel room. Called the front desk waited an additional 20+ minutes for maintenance arrive. Maintenence was unable to enter and used walky talky to inform team. Eventually he had to enter a connecting room to get in and try to unlock our room door.
Unfortunately, had this been an emergency, there’s likely chance it I would have been in grave danger.
Maintenance asked us to call and ask for another room. We called the front desk for another room and the lady answering the phone said we needed to contact the front desk. Told her I thought I was! She then told me to wait while she transferred me to the front desk.
In both hotel rooms there were 3 towels and 0 face cloths. At 10:41pm, still no face cloths.
Photos attached and video of broken room lock attached.
Day 2:
Food was great.
Wait staff for restaurant were very polite. Store staff were very polite.
Towel gut by the pool was not polite. Beach chairs and umbrellas were all taken by 9 am, so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach.
Headed to the pool and the same people that had the beach chairs and umbrellas had their belongings in the chairs by the pool. Most of them left their things there most of the day. I saw most pool chairs unoccupied for hours but had peoples’ things. All while less than 10 ppl were swimming.
Day 3:
There were unexplained charges and a $200 credit on the credit card.
Paid for all but one meal at the restaurant, and some meals were still charged to the room.
Overall, the hotel is gorgeous.
The concierge, store staff and the restaurant staff were really nice.
The manager addressed issues if she was approached, but never followed up on her own. This may explain the level of customer service here.
Most other staff were pretty rude.
Safety, I’ll have to say unsafe due to the broken lock. Can’t stress enough how dangerous that is.
The location of the hotel was fine. We used Uber or Lyft to get travel to places that were not within walking distance. We brought our own plastic ware and paper towels. We typically don’t expect the hotel to supply it (although it is a nice gesture and service). There was no microwave, and it would be nice to have one in the rooms, but it was not a major issue.
We didn’t have any major complaints about our room. Our room was clean, and it was spacious. The only recommendations that we would suggest for the hotel is to replace room towels and purchase enough towels and wash clothes to prevent customers from having to wait a while for them to be washed. Additionally, it is suggested that pool towels are replaced because many of them were dingy. The water pressure between the two restrooms inside of the room should be addressed, and to develop a maintenance program to recaulk bathroom vanities etc. If these minor issues are resolved, then it would be perfect!
In general, our stay was awesome, and I want to thank the hard working staff at the desk and cleaning staff for helping to make our trip a great one. I will return.
We booked for a king oceanfront, but we arrived late around 10pm since our flight got delayed and they gave us a room with oceanfront, great! But bathroom was a so small with a sink of size of your hand with no vanity around. All toiletries are placed outside bathroom, on a small table. Trust me, forget about a quick face wash, u can't even brush ir teeth in that sink without hitting your head. On top of it, AC vents are leaking water on both sides of roof rim. We asked at front desk and that was the only front desk person who understood, spoke nice and in English, let me know that I was mistaken that we were allocated an ambassador suite which was not generally given to any guests. However they are full and no other oceanfront are available and asked us to check back in the morning. He will also leave a note for manager to provide a discount for inconvenience caused.
We called next day morning and it was the most worst experience from here until end of our stay. I called front desk and they say that they will check availability and get back but never called back. I waited 30mins and called, they say room service is cleaning so they will call back once they are done. I asked how long and said she will check and callback but never called. I lost my patience but tried to polite for their rude behavior and called, this time a gentleman picked up. I said that it is my birthday today and we have reservations that we need to go to, so please tell me how long. He said that I can leave my luggage in current room and their service can shift once new room is ready. I agreed to that and went down to drop keys. Oh ya, I had to repeat my story for thr forth time and she wouldn't even listen to what I was trying to say and just text on her phone and after that the lady at front desk says that I cannot leave and I must be there to shift my luggage. I repeated that I spoke with gentleman on phone and he provided this arrangement. I also tried to show her pictures on my phone but she doesn't even care to listen.
Finally I left the keys and went out.
We returned after our day trip and explained the story and asked for new keys, she says that she don't see any notes and it starts again ! She starts texting and then finally I got key after some wait. So I went into new room, my luggage was their and an oceanfront room, great! This room have 2 bathrooms. One exactly same as old one right next to door and second one at center of the room. But they gave us an ADA room. Huh! Obviously the second shower do not have nieche or side holder for your toiletries. And the center AC vent is leaking water, which is right infront of the second bathroom. We were so tired and decided to just manage for rest of the 2 nights since it felt like rather than enjoying our trip, I am into constant arguments which is not how we wanted to spend my birthday.
On checkout day, I went to front desk and asked for a 30min late checkout since we were getting delayed, anyhow we checked in very late. The guy adjusted my checkout and gave me until 11.30 (no addional price mentioned), great ! Now I asked if there is any adjustments put on my room price and he called his supervisor, Maria. She says she remember me, ok great! She says my first day room rent is waived off, oh great and asked if I get credit on my card. She says no and asked what time am I checking out. I said 11.30 and she says that is the complimentary we provided and I waived iff 1 night resort fee of $57, she gives me remaining bill. I tried to speak but she yells at me louder that late checkout is $300 and that is given to me complimentary. I felt awkward to be yelled at infront of all other customers their.I didnt even say about leak in second room.
Hi Ivy - here are my thoughts.
Upon arrival we pulled into the lane that said "valet" and when I went up to the guy, he said I was in the wrong lane even though he said the sign was in the lane I pulled into. He then asked me to back out the vehicle and pull into the other lane. When I pointed out there was an other car blocking he got annoyed and said "leave it."
Upon entry to the room, there was a pull out sofa that was made up as a bed - super weird like someone was staying there.
There was no wash clothes or hand towels in the room. Had to call for them. Seems like this would be a standard.
I have stayed with the Grand Beach properties numerous times despite not offering any perks for repeat clients. I am now asking myself why given my latest experiences.
Update: there was a bed bug in my bed . Bathrooms are a little outdated
I was chraged for drinks in the lobby although I did nto have any!
The worker told me that they will match the signature and transfer back the money as soon as possible. A half a year later I have NOT received the money! I emailed them several times, but they just ignored the email!!!
This is called stealing!
The grand beach hotel in miami beach has deteriorated.
The rooms are less of a 4 star hotel experience and more like the side of the road motel.
Our room didn't have working hot water. And took about 15 minutes for them to answer the phone and send someone. The sheets had dirt, there were holes in the shower wall from what seemed a tub to shower conversion, the fridge had dirty goo in it. The mirror had a crack. The mini fridge was just dumped in place and on a slant while the cabinetry had cracked wood, one of the hotel elevators have been out of service since Christmas and they manage to clean elevators 12pm when it's most needed, being left with one elevator which than takes about 10mins to travel.up or down unless you want to use the stairs.
We have spoken the the manager Kenner, and he has switched our room. Which had less of the issues mentioned. But here to, the toilet was constantly running water and we had to open the tank to fix the chain to flusher for it to work properly.
The owner or whomever might have some well written rebuttal to this review but ultimately we will no longer be staying at this hotel again until there's a significant overhaul.
