It is the ideal place to learn more about the many events organized on the island, especially during weekends, activities and beaches. Practical: brochures and tourist information are available in the lobby after hours. You'll also find resources for tours throughout South Florida.

Biscayne NP, c'est tout l'inverse. Une toute petite bande de terre et une immense surface sous-marine.
Le parc est gratuit et le Visitor Center est agréable : les rangers sont très sympathiques, il y a une petite expo à l'intérieur. Du Visitor Center, il y a une courte balade à pied qui avance au milieu de la mer, on y a vu beaucoup de lézards, mais c'est à peu près le seul intérêt de cette balade.
Le principal intérêt du Visitor Center est d'être le point de départ du snorkeling (payant) au coeur d'un récif corallien, le "vrai Biscayne NP". Il vaut mieux réserver à l'avance.
A notre retour, deux rangers très sympas nous ont demandé si on voulait voir un crocodile (rares dans ce coin) et nous ont amené à un endroit caché où l'un d'eux séjournait à ce moment. Sympa !
