COLONY HOTEL
Hotel of "Tropical Art Deco" style becoming one of the symbols of Miami Beach thanks to its nightly animation
Designed in 1935 by one of the specialists of the "Tropical Art Deco" style, the architect Henry Hohauser, this hotel is one of the first born on Ocean Drive. With its blue neon lights and its facade flanked by its characteristic sign affixed to a vertical canopy, the Colony Hotel has become one of the symbols of Miami Beach and especially of its nightlife. Indeed, if the hotel is superb during the day, it is at night that its beauty shines, like all the other Art Deco hotels on Ocean Drive.
