THE CARLYLE
Art Deco style hotel in Miami, used as a movie set with 50 rooms transformed into 19 apartments for rent
Located at the intersection of 13th Street and Ocean Drive, this hotel opened in 1941 and has a very Art Deco style as evidenced by the 3 symmetrical vertical parts of its facade that respect the rule of 3 thirds. Its immaculate white facade is enhanced by an Art Deco sign in traditional pastel shades (pink and green). This hotel is seen several times in the movies Scarface or Random Hearts. Today, the Carlyle is no longer a hotel: its 50 rooms have been transformed into 19 apartments available for rent.
