SOUTH POINTE PARK AND LUMMUS PARK
A park at the south end of Miami Beach. One comes to relax on the lawn facing the bay and stroll on the landscaped promenade.
At the southern end of Miami Beach, South Pointe Park is a meeting place for surfers (while Haulover, to the north, is the beach of serious surfing). Further along, a pedestrian walkway leads from 21 Street to the Fontainebleau Hotel where, a few hundred meters from the shore, a Boeing 727 hulk has been submerged to act as an artificial reef. The South Pointe Pier offers a panoramic view of Miami Beach on one side and the cruise port and Downtown on the other. The comings and goings of the cruise ships are impressive.
