OCALA NATIONAL FOREST
Park offering many activities including swimming in the crystal clear waters of 600 lakes and rivers, snorkeling...
At 460,000 acres, the park, known as Big Scrub, is the first national forest established east of the Mississippi. The possibilities for nature activities are truly numerous: swimming in the crystal clear waters of the 600 lakes and rivers, snorkeling or diving, canoeing, mountain biking or horseback riding... Not to mention the many marked walks, such as the Saint Francis Trail, the Eaton Loop Lake Trail or the Florida National Scenic Trail. It is even possible to sleep under the stars in one of the 14 campsites in the forest.
