We spent one night in the Honeymoon cottage. It was spacious, perfectly clean and inviting. It was nice to have a small kitchen, even though we really didn't use it. The bed was comfortable and the grounds surrounding the cottage are very pretty. Breakfast was tasty - served in the main B and B building. We'll definitely return when we have more time to linger.

This place is amazingly adorable! The cottages are a great place to just relax. Very peaceful feeling! Great breakfast and friendly staff! Location was also a plus! Definitely would stay again!

My son was married on March 30,2024 and held their reception at the Inn. It was absolutely beautiful and a very enchanting
evening with the lights and the landscaping. The food was amazing. We stayed in the Nora Belle cottage and were extremely happy with our accommodations. It was very clean, comfortable and set a whole tone and mood for the occasion. Multiple family members stayed at the inn as well. It was so convenient yet private….much better than a hotel and hallways! The best was to sit in the rockers on the huge front porch visiting with family we haven’t seen in awhile. I will definitely be staying again and would recommend it HIGHLY especially for special occasions. Great job Sweetwater! Thank you for making the weekend unforgettable!

This is a wonderful bed & breakfast! We came with our 5- and 7-year-olds and stayed in the Piccadilly room and we loved it. The pool and gardens were so nice and we had a lovely time hanging out there. The breakfast was wonderful too. This was our second time staying here. We’ll be back!

From the moment of arrival, the front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. The building decor was historic, with modern comfortable amenities in the room. The heated pool was delightful. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We had a terrific stay and definitely recommend this oasis if staying in Gainesville!

Booked an overnight stay at Sweetwater Branch Inn as I was in town on a business trip. It was the best decision ever made. It was one of the most charming and intriguing places that I have ever stayed at in a long long time. Just leaning about the history of the building was super informative and interesting. And entering the front door was like walking into a time capsule. All the intricate details in the furniture, on the winding staircase, in the bedroom and just all around felt like a fairytale. I will most definitely be back to spend a longer weekend. The staff were so helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was superb!!! My room and bathroom were super clean. Anyone that decides to stay here will not be disappointed.

Just had my wedding there on Saturday and everyone kept talking about how beautiful and perfect this place is. They were so helpful and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. What a wonderful experience from start to finish.

Arrived late just before their front office closed but the host was very cheerful. Front office closes at 9, so if guests arrive past 9 the owner of the inn should be in touch with the guests prior about where to get the keys etc. breakfast was simple but delicious. The cottage we stayed in was lovely and spacious and clean with separate thermostat for each room (love this!). Overall, we were well rested, had good breakfast and enjoyed the heated outdoor pool.

What struck me was how responsive everyone at Sweetwater branch is when I had a need or a question. Very friendly and quick service! My family and I have visited and stayed on three different occasions in three different apartments, and it is always a Lovely and Enjoyable stay.

I was visiting university of Florida on a business trip and stayed at this place. I should be honest, I travel a lot and stay at different places throughout the year but this place especially got my attention. This is a HIDDEN GEM and a wonderful place to stay if you visit Gainesville. First of all, it's very affordable and it's not like a hotel, instead it's like cottages with your own quiet space comes with bathtub, comfortable bed, living room, kitchen, assigned parking, and patio. Wow, this place is really different and totally amazing for a couple. One best thing is you have a hot tub too, you will have everything in the cottage from towels to any hot tub stuffs. I loved staying here and wish I could come more often to this place. Apart from all this, their breakfast was totally extraordinary. It was like treat and you will feel special to have breakfast in this place. Not a typical sausage or scrambled eggs, instead they have some special food. It felt like I was in a Italian or French bakery buffet. The customer service was amazing, they call you if you are late and keep you posted how to reach them if you are late and where to pick up keys. Overall, the customer service was fantastic. This is definitely a must place to stay even if you live in Gainesville ???????? just a weekend getaway. ????????????????❤️❤️❤️

Restored old mansions , cottages on Sweetwater site.
Swimming pool. We were there when couple got married and had
reception on site . Parking tight, but folks work together.
Over the years we have stayed in several of the converted rooms. All we’re comfortable.
We try to stay there on our way down to florida for spring training,
am sometimes on way back.
In short, we love the place.

Stayed at Sweetwater for the first time to meet someone I met online for our first date. Immediately I felt welcome by the warm greeting from staff at check in and had a wonderful breakfast the next day. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a charming genre of years gone past. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with tasteful accents. Truly an experience to take you away from the stresses of the week! Highly recommend!

Cornelia and staff were the best! Breakfasts and dinner meals during my 5 days were fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were very inviting. The pool was warm and clean and the jacuzzi was great. It was one of the best B&Bs I’ve ever stayed at and would highly recommend it to anyone and hope someday I get a chance to return.

I lived in Gainesville for 5 years and have visited a few times since moving. I somehow did not know about this gem. It is incredible. The heated pool was perfect for our mid-February stay. The grounds are immaculate. Staff was very friendly. And downtown is a 5-7 minute walk. For those wanting to head out for dinner, the walkway to downtown is well-lit and I felt plenty safe walking it with my wife and young children. Highly recommend Sweetwater Inn!

My wife and I spent five nights At this facility in February 2024. We requested and were given a room on the ground floor away from the street noise which was fine. The room was roomy and comfortable and fortunately had a small refrigerator unit. Room service was limited during this visit because we were part of a group event but this was not a problem except that trash bins were not regularly emptied and tended to nearly overflow by the final day of our Visit
The breakfast service was very good and pleasantly prepared with great coffee by Brittany and her staff. The dinners were Likewise varied and very tasty including some southern dishes which we do not experience regularly at home.
The owner Cornelia was available as needed and did a good introduction at the start of our stay.
We were so busy with group activities unfortunately we did not get to experience the free bike and helmets to explore the neighborhood nor we have sufficient time at our ages to utilize the heated pool which looked great
Overall we were more than satisfied and would return again should our timetable permit.

I’m in love with this place the staff and everybody is so accommodating and unbelievably nice I will be back and I want to try out every room and cottages so fun and relaxing, the food is so good all homemade and they literally have everything you would ever need there. Can’t wait to try out the spa next time I visit and I love the Location lots of things to do in the area from outdoor adventures to history, museums, horseback riding, fishing swimming easy to get to shops and dining Great place for any special occasion if you want to impress your friends and family

Enjoyed the pay 50% at booking and remainder on or before check in.

Breakfast was incredible; complementary for guests-don’t forget to sign the guestbook! We enjoyed having our breakfast on the enclosed front patio of the Cushman House.

Pool/Hot Tub was delightful and heated, perfect time to relax with loved ones

La Chua was a beautiful cottage. Location of La Chua was too close to a main road for us, making it a noisy night (traffic, sirens, pedestrians walking by) when trying to sleep but spacious, clean, plenty of towels and extra pillows. We really enjoyed the Roma bath and body products as well; the lotion was really nice.

Sweetwater staff were super friendly, accommodating and genuinely seemed to enjoy meeting guests. Tara was so kind to us every time we saw her!

We loved the cats on the property, we saw two, beautiful & friendly!

The grounds/garden were lovely
Many spots to take photos.

The office has adults beverages available for purchase if desired and can charge to room.
We had the most delicious chocolate chip cookies too when visiting.

Overall 5/5 experience all around.
Highly recommend & though we don’t travel often we would most certainly return in the future.
