This was my 1st time ever staying at a Double Tree. This hotel had like a gloomy feel to it. The black door frames around the doors kinda spooked me. The dim lighting in the hallways didn't help. Senay checked me in. She was awesome, as well as Jay. We paid for self parking but was not giving a parking ticket to get in and out of the garage. Senate said she didn't have any to give my brother and I. We were to press the "Help" button each time we needed to get in and out. It was VERY AGGRAVATING, as the attendant took his time each time to come to assist. He came down with his hands up, like What! We tried to get us to enter a credit card. I told him we had already paid for parking and told him what we were instructed to press the help button. It was indeed a headache! This hotel didn't give me the unction to want to go back.

Room dirty. Toilet broken. Air conditioner- broken. No towels in the room. Someones hair all over the shower. Toilet paper roll almost gone- no spare. No regular coffee or creamer in room - there was a package of decaf and a tea.
Requested towels- gave me 1- no hand or bath towels. When i asked for those, staff member was excessively rude and still didnt provide a bath towel.. Waited in line at check in- only to find i wasnt waiting behind customers- but behind the staff members' "homies getting free cookies and drinks. Elevator broken. No valet. Starbucks closed. Restaurant closed. Only a couple of TV channels working.
I asked for the managers name- the front desk wouldnt give me a name- said the manager didnt have a card and was off on vacation and wouldnt be back. Night desk person hates his job.
I would NOT recommend this hotel. Ive given it more than one chance, but its gotten worse with each stay. Im a Diamond member and have been for many many years- staying in a different Hilton three nights each week.
Its a broken down hotel- ghetto. There are other options-

DO NOT COME HERE!!! Horrible experience and there was a line of people with same issue. We reserved a room weeks ago with 2 queen beds. Showed up and they had no room for us and told us there’s nothing that can be done when they have our card on file and the reservation number. After going back and forth with them, we got 1 king bed for 5 of us. No body wash in room. People in line received keys to rooms that had people already occupying them. Dirty beds with hair and dirt in them. No towels. No soap. Oh, and we were charged over $200 for a no show fee when we checked in Friday evening and had to argue for a room we reserved. We were told our room charge would be waived. We have now over $600 of charges on our card that aren’t valid. No manager to speak to. No one at the front desk can help. The guy has only worked here for 3 weeks and he isn’t sure how to handle. DO NOT COME HERE. Horrible, horrible experience. Our hallway has missing roof tiles due to a leak and smells of mold and mildew.

As a Hilton rewards member, I was very disappointed by this hotel. I arrived late at night and found my room dirty: trash and dirt on the floor, stains on the bed, and hair all over the bathroom sink and floor. I asked the front desk to have it cleaned when I went out the next morning, and though someone clearly changed my sheets, the rest of the room remained unclean for the duration of my stay. Furthermore, breakfast was inexplicably unavailable for half of my stay: there was no advance notice, guests just came downstairs in the morning and were told that breakfast (and the in-house Starbucks counter) weren’t open today. The pool was closed, as well. There seemed to be only a handful of staff, whose responsiveness was lackluster, at best. Would not recommend.

I was really looking forward to having a better experience than we had at another Doubletree. I was very disappointed. We stayed here for our anniversary. It started out with being checked into an occupied room. We went back down to the front desk and moved to another room. When we arrived in the next room, we went to get a drink of water, and the glasses were filthy. There was even a liquid stain on the counter that had not been cleaned. The large window was dirty as well. We had to clean off finger and nose prints to be able to see clearly. We noticed that there were no toiletries on the sink. We had to use shampoo to wash our hands. We put the glasses into a bag and took them down to the front desk. An assistant manager said she would have some more brought up to our room. The front desk attendant said she would have some soap brought up to us. No one ever brought any clean glasses or soap during our stay. We asked to speak to a manager and was told Pam would be there at 8am. I came down to get an order at 10 a.m., and when I inquired about speaking to her, I was told she had already left for the day. I thought that was strange since it was a big weekend with the Springtime festival going on in town and the hotel being extra busy. I also mentioned that I received an email regarding an early check-in or a late check-out. I had not been informed as if I was given either. The front desk attendant said we could have an extra hour, until noon. I was satisfied with that, so I went back to my room. At 11:45 a.m., a housekeeper lady knocked on our door and rudely said checkout was at 11 a.m. I said the front desk gave us until 12 p.m. She responded in an unhappy tone that no one told her that. I said we'd be leaving soon. About 10 minutes later, another housekeeper knocked on our door and said the same thing but in a nicer tone. I said the front desk gave us until noon, and we were leaving in just a few minutes. She apologized , and they had not been notified. When we checked out, the front desk agent said our reservation was marked for a late checkout. When our issues were voiced to the agent again, we were told Pam would call us. It's been 5 days since we checked out, and we have not received a call. I have seen this hotel for many years and was so excited to finally get to spend a night there with my husband for our anniversary. I was so disappointed in the experience. It was hard for me to enjoy our anniversary celebration. I hope these issues don't happen to anyone else. The best part was our dinner at Eve on Adams.

Our stay here was okay. Keep in mind exercise room has two damaged treadmills and one of two elliptical machines actually works. Had to drive 2 miles to a near bye gym.

Disappointing.
Located in a nicer part of city.
The decor suggests it's geared toward wedding parties, proms, etc. type of parties.
When we arrived there was a young family with a toddler. The father was yelling because apparently he waited over 20 mins on his room and nothing was happening. The staff decided to argue back with him instead to try to calm the situation.
In the room, water pressure in the shower was low and shower cabin wasn't properly cleaned (some left over hair).
Restaurant was supposed to open at 7am for breakfast on Sunday morning but opened 7 minutes late and a dude from the kitchen in the meantime was strolling around the lobby like he had all the time in the world (we didn't because we were on a tight schedule). After serving ourselves some food, sat done but there were no utensils available, only to be provided after we finished eating with our fingers.
I wont stay at this hotel again.

My stay was very nice and I enjoyed it a lot! The valet were amazing Liam and Billy were the best! The room was nice and was able to see much of Tallahassee.

Valet service was excellent! Liam was very attentive and quick to get our vehicle. Always greeted us with a smile!

We had a great stay. Billy and Liam had great attitudes and were very helpful to our family.

My favorite hotel in Tallahassee! The location is the best, with a farmer’s market across the street on weekends. It’s such a nice spot to start your time here.

The hotel room is exceptionally better than the layouts at nearby places (comparing specifically, to the Hotel Aloft and Hotel Duval).

The valet staff are also great! Shout-outs to Patrick, Mike, Liam, and two other team members whose names I missed for being so prompt in bringing our car around (even when we lost the valet ticket on our very first evening ????).

Likely one of the most unkept hotels I’ve stayed in a year. And I stay at a lot of places. The entire hotel needs a makeover / upgrade - maybe it’s best just to tear the place down. C’mon folks step up and keep up!

Billy provided great service. He remembered my name had awesome conversation and never had to wait long for the come down each time I needed it.

We were in town for a funeral and the location was very convenient to the church. We could’ve walked to it if we had to do so.

Big pros are going to be the view and location. Guest services was also very helpful with recommendations.

The rooms themselves were ok. Upstairs had a very musty smell.

My recent stay at the DoubleTree Tallahassee was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was also my wedding weekend and I had invited all of our out-of-town guests to stay with us in a room block, so they all got to share in this awful experience with us. I left our stay feeling incredibly embarrassed in our choice of hotel. Our wedding was beautiful and everything we dreamed of, but if there was one thing we would do differently, it's this. I'm not sure if this is a side-effect of being horribly understaffed/inexperienced, but as the bride, I was never congratulated nor even acknowledged during my stay. I wasn't expecting special treatment or anything luxurious. Just a warm greeting would've sufficed. Instead I was ignored at the front desk for 15 minutes while waiting for simple parking instructions (with no one in front of me). The instructions I was eventually given were contradictory and confusing. I shrugged it off in the moment because I had so many other things going on, and figured this was just a struggling college student still in training, but I had SEVERAL other guests come up to me later and tell me that the staff was incompetent, and that they were made to wait for long periods of time at the front desk without there being any sort of line. The best part is that the hotel key cards would randomly not work or in some cases would open doors of rooms that did not even belong to them. The hotel managed to mix up my brother and sister's rooms so that my sister's key opened my brother's door, but my brother was inexplicably unable to open his own room. He had to visit the front desk on 3 separate occasions in order to get it fixed. I would later learn that they had CHARGED him for his room AND my sister's room by accident on top of the already awkward inconvenience. We had several other guests come up to us complaining of issues with spotty Wi-Fi and broken hotel keys. Our "honeymoon suite" was cold & empty with fluorescent lighting and a broken mini-fridge door. There was a comically large sitting area, but a bathroom so small you could barely turn around in it. We weren't given a single bottle of water for our "honeymoon suite," much less a cookie. When I tell you that we spent over $800 for this 2-night "experience" it makes me want to cry. Without a doubt, it was the biggest wasted expense of our entire wedding. Getting an event manager to respond to us in order to set up our room blocks was a nightmare in itself. I had to call several different times in order to get a hold of a live person after being ghosted by the coordinator for weeks. That should've been the red flag I needed to stay away. I know Tallahassee doesn't have a wide variety of great hotel options, and it's a shame because the rooftop bar, Eve on Adams, is lovely, but do yourself a favor and book a room somewhere else.

The 21ish year old Asian girl sitting behind the front desk during the midnight late night shift, is extremely racist! She uses her phone to provoke guest, than she video tapes them for zero reason as they are walking away and minding their own business! Very much Extremely disgusting customer service at this run down hotel!

The 2nd dirtiest hotel I ever stayed at. I won't list the first one because I don't want to get anyone mad at me, but it wasn't a hotel 16. This room was gross. Food and other things were found under the dresser and nightstand. I can tell that nobody took time to clean this room. I reported the issue to the front desk clerk, she was very concerned and forwarded the information with photos to the housekeeping manager, and I left for the day. I figured when I got back, they would have taken the room apart to clean. I was gone for 10 hours. Not much changed when I returned. So what happens now? This post, and I will never stay at the Hilton Double Tree in Tallahassee again.

This is the hotel from hell. It’s currently 1:00 am and my family is wide awake due to the incessant noise coming from every direction. We have an important day tomorrow and the hotel is single-handedly ruining our stay. Drunks in the elevator bay that the hotel staff said they could do nothing about. A constant elevator motor noise outside our window. Various music and shouting.

On top of all of this, it is filthy and worn down. Next time I am in Tallahassee I would rather sleep on a bench at the greyhound bus station down the street.

What happened to this hotel? This used to be my favorite place to stay in town. Tried to check in last Saturday and ended up canceling my reservation. The room I was assigned had the door open and it would not close. There was trash on the floor and the furniture looked terrible. The restaurant Jacob's wasn't even open. I spoke with the front desk employee who told me they are extremely understaffed and cannot keep employees. I realize the hotel recently sold to the lowest bidder. However it's hard to believe this is considered a Hilton property. I have been a Hilton Diamond member for many years now. This is absolutely the worst hotel I've ever tried to stay in..
