CHARLES LAVALLE HOUSE
A house built in 1805 in the French Creole colonial style, furnished with objects from the period.
Located in Historic Pensacola Village, this house is one of the oldest in the city. It was built in 1805 by Charles Lavalle, a local carpenter. With its red-painted wooden porch and wooden facade, it is an example of the French Creole Colonial style. The house is furnished with objects from the period. For the record, it was originally built at 111 West Government Street but moved to historic Pensacola Village in 1968 to save it from destruction.
