FORT CLINCH STATE PARK
A 439 hectare park with an old brick fort that provides a view of the Georgia border and the Atlantic Ocean
This 439-acre park is the northernmost point on the Florida coast. The old brick fort provides a view of the Georgia border and the Atlantic Ocean, which gave it a strategic position during the Civil War. The cannons are there to testify it. Beaches and dunes are quiet and open to the public. If you want to observe the local wildlife, go to the Willow Pond Nature Trail (25 to 45 min depending on the route). The park also has 2 campsites. Please note that you can reserve a site up to 11 months in advance.
