Le Moorings Village is a must-see stopover, an establishment consisting of 18 cottages and houses located on a former 7 ha coconut grove. As soon as you leave your room you are on one of the largest and most incredible private white sandy beaches in the Florida Keys, you have access to kayaks, windsurfing to walk on a sublime lake where your companions of the day can be manatees, dolphins or mules. If you prefer land-based activities, lose yourself in the tropical gardens and bougainvilleas, enjoy a game of tennis before relaxing in the superb 25-metre swimming pool surrounded by trees and some 700 coconut palms. The creator and owner of the Moorings is a Frenchman who settled in Islamorada more than 30 years ago, in search of the sweet life so special in the Keys. He succeeded in combining charm and luxury in the Caribbean style with a pinch of American-style ugly back. The beauty of the site and the professionalism of the Moorings staff will make your stay one of those moments that you will keep forever in your secret box.
For the record, the Netflix series, Bloodline, was mostly shot in the resort because that's where the house that serves as a hotel in the TV series is located!
