"Absolutely stellar experience at Casa Morada! From the moment we arrived, Daniella and the staff made us feel like VIPs. Their dedication to serving veterans is truly admirable. The adults-only atmosphere creates a serene ambiance, amazing views on the gulf side with amazing pool and serene waterfall. Sunset cruise is a must! Five stars all around for this gem in Islamorada, Florida! Also bring your furry friend.

A diamond in the rough. Quiet, beautiful, and beachy.

This is our 4th trip to Casa M and upon checking out, we booked for next year. In summary this is what keeps us coming back: 16 and older, dog friendly, located on the gulf (sunset views), walkable to many things including restaurants and shopping, beautiful landscaping, and a pool. There is no restaurant on site (they off a European breakfast) but they are located behind Mangrove Mike's which is open for breakfast and lunch (check out the tater tot tower!). Truly Casa Morada has it all for a zen vacay!

casa Morada is a tropical dream destination. I stayed in the starfish suite, which had a giant, soaking tub and a view on the water. The breakfasts were fresh buffet items with delicious pastries, cereal, and the freshest sweetest squeezed orange juice I’ve ever had.

there are three boats that offer tours to the guests. you can make your reservations in the concierge office.

The grounds are exquisitely landscaped with a waterfall, a bocce ball court and bicycles to rent.

The service by all the staff and the mariners is excellent.

Terrible experience - especially for the price. Our flight was delayed, so we got to the hotel at 8:30pm. Everything was dark - we couldn’t locate reception, so after wandering around the property we located a service door and started banging on it. Finally someone arrived - they said the office closed at 8pm, and that someone should have called us and left a message regarding the keys. They hadn’t. Our room - The Jungle Room - left much to be desired. The bathroom faucet was broken and remained cold after 20 minutes of running it. We couldn’t use the tub as it was stained brown on the bottom. The screen above the toilet was filthy and disgusting. We’d been told the rate included complimentary breakfast - we at 7:40am at where we assumed the breakfast would be served …we learned at checkout that it was on the 2nd floor of another building, but we hadn’t been told that, so we ended up eating elsewhere. Awful hotel experience - DO NOT BOOK HERE!

From the warm and kind staff at every single level to the gorgeous views, this place is a true getaway. I stayed in a ground floor suite, which was so spacious, and the shower ???? There are many stores and restaurants close, plus a Publix literally 2 mins away, bikes and kayaks to use, and that sunset ???? ???? Add in the fact that it's dog-friendly and I've never been happier.

I can't wait to come back and see Morada the office cat, and everyone else, again soon. Thank you so much for a great stay!

This is a little resort with charm and suites overlooking the water and its pool area. The pool area is very nice with a bar and lounge chairs for hanging out during the day and at sunset. Also a nice area for their continental breakfast in the morning. I'm not rating this higher since we had an issue with repairs on the roof of our suite which we were not informed about upon check-in. They should be more proactive about working with customers when they know they have essential repairs going on during a guest's stay. There was also construction next door out of their control, but still it was difficult to stay there during the day and enjoy everything they had to offer. Apparently, we did receive a discount for our trouble, but it was never clear what the rate was going to be in the first place as I was quoted one thing on the phone and never got prices along with my confirmation email. So, double-check pricing and the status of the resort before you go. I do think their standard rates are a bit high. Yes, the views are nice, but it is an older building that is trying to be kept up. For similar money, you could stay at the Cheeca Lodge... maybe not with a view, but a much nicer lodge.

We decided to take a last minute get away and bring the pup. Casa Morada had great reviews and was listed as dog friendly. We called first and couldn't have been more pleased with the young man who answered the phone. I didn't catch his name, but he was sweet and very knowledgeable. He helped us pick the perfect room for us and our dog. The property is absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Iguana Room and had the most breathtaking view from the Adirondack chairs on our lanai. The room was very large, clean, well appointed, and quiet. The grounds were very well kept, lots of activities, and picturesque locations throughout. The staff was attentive and gave special attention to our dog. I highly recommend the sunset cruise on the sailboat. The beauty was beyond words, and the dolphins swimming next to the boat were a huge surprise.
The only negatives were that we had ordered the "Romance Package" which was supposed to include champagne upon arrival, turndown service with roses and we ordered in room couples massages. Upon check in, we reminded the front desk of our purchase/request and were told it would be done; however, we did not receive any of the package items. Thankfully, we were not charged for them. The following day, we saw the same young man we had spoken with on the phone prior to the trip and advised him of the situation and he was fabulous. He was genuinely upset and apologized profusely (he was not working the day we checked in, a Saturday, and had nothing to do with the mistake). We told him it was ok, we just wanted to make sure we didn't get charged for it. He was absolutely lovely and clearly cares about the guests. We had a lovely time, enjoyed how pet friendly the entire area is, and will definitely be back.

Last minute get away trip. Booked the Iguana room with the romantic arrival package of champagne and roses. Reminded the lady at check in and she said it will be taken care of, it never was. Had to make sure we didn't get charged the almost $200 for it. We asked about the in room couples massage. She said she will contact the people that do it to see what openings they had. That was never done. On to the good.... rooms are a little strange in the design. Walk in to a living room then tub, shower and toilet room in the middle of the suite. Only a glass door to the shower so i guess if you want to watch TV from the living room it works out. Comfortable bed with clean linens. The location and views are amazing. Walk out your door and be right at the bay. Amazing sunsets. We did the sunset sailboat cruise which is highly recommended. The hotel is dog friendly and welcomed ours. Even with the minor issues on checking, would stay there again and recommend it.

The best thing about this place is that kids aren't allowed. It’s a great rule, I hope it never changes.
