INDIAN KEY HISTORIC STATE PARK
Old place of habitat of an Indian tribe in Islamorada, with a beautiful beach and area equipped for swimming, accessible by boat
Indian Key is, as its name suggests, an ancient habitat of an Indian tribe. An area has been set up for swimming. There is no particular infrastructure but the beach is nice. In the past, a footbridge allowed to cross the 800 meters leading to the island. The latter having been recently destroyed during a storm, Indian Key is only accessible by boat. You can rent kayaks nearby at Robbie's Marina or Backcountry Cowboys.
