Can't beat the location - it was in the middle of everything! They are renovating the building and the lobby looks amazing. The room is a tad bit small but beautiful/very clean. We didn't eat at the hotel. The pool was closed because of construction but they made up for it with other incentives!

I travel weekly and this is the Worst Marriot I have ever stayed off, from the rude staff to the obnoxious construction noise to not even having a water bottle or cups in your room. I would never stay here again, I traveled across the country to vacation in Key West. I love Marriot Properties and was excited to see a property in the location near all the activities. This hotel does not meet the fine quality facility and friendly Marriot staff I am accustomed to. This sentiment was also shared by another customer who complained to us about this hotel
The bad experience started at check in with the rude check in employee. Upon learning the pool was under construction at check in, she stated, " well it was listed on the website". We said we called the reservation in and she stated we were told over the phone about the construction, which we were not and did not appreciate her demeaning attitude . We also showed the staff the Bonvoy app which does not mention the construction at this hotel. Although the pool is closed and there is obnoxious jack hammering going on at the property they still charge you a resort fee on top of parking.
The room was just okay at best and none of the lights near the bed functioned. After a long day we wanted to get some sleep and went to take some asprin and there was not one water bottle in the room , not even ONE plastic or paper cup available in the room. We had to take medication late at night by bending over the sink and filling up my hands with water like drinking out of a trough. The next morning i had to get cups out of the lobby after having a joke of a breakfast. There is not a designated dining room as, there are tabled in the lobby area and serving trays on top of the tables for a buffet like at a Hampton Inn but near as nice selection at Hampton Inn or a Best Western. Tacky for a $400 a night hotel. I went to get strawberries and there were only 4 in the bowl, what a joke.
Upon check out we brought up a few of our concerns and instead of an apology we were met with defiance basically blaming the lack of water bottles and no cups on us as if we had asked for room service, the missing items would have been noticed, this is not my job to make sure rooms a equipped with bare minimum essentials such as water or cups or fixing lights.
While having breakfast you have to listen to non stop jack hammers and construction which we were never warned about this hotel should be even be opened or make it clear when people book that is is under construction or alllow people to back out of their reservation when they find out.
Instead of an apology for no water or cups the blame was put on us for not calling. I was already in bed and didnt want to call just to be awakened by staff knocking on my door. This is a hotel, how does room service staff not know how to stock a room.

Anyway this was by far my worst Marriot experience, we were told to come back in a year and try it again, not a chance. I have much more pleasant stays at Best Western at a fourth of the cost. I was not able to post a review on the website and I learned you can only leave a review on the website if sent a review. Dont listen to me, read the multiple negative reviews from other customers. This place needs to have a hgh up GM from corporate be a secret customer and stay here.

The hotel is upgrading and now is fully up to date. The staff are awesome and it's going to be the high end bar to go to once construction is complete. My go to place in Key West!

Stayed for 5 nights as a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). The hotel had been partly refurbished but it's still very much in the throws of being modernised. Whilst we couldn't hear any noise from the building works in our room, there was an almost constant noise in the reception and bar area between 9:30am and 5pm. And I don't mean a low hum, I'm talking full on jack hammering.

The room we stayed in had obviously already been decorated. However, the finishing was poor - the bath tap was basically hanging off the wall, there were no batteries in the clock and one of the power sockets didn't work. All little things but they start to add up. However, the beds were comfy, there was a large TV and an ice cold fridge in the room.

The main annoyance I have with this place was the housekeeping. Out of the 5 days we were there, on 4 of these days our room still hadn't been cleaned by 4:30pm, despite the fact we were told it was daily housekeeping. We had to ask on all of these days for the room to be made up and the towels changed. This isn't great when you pay as much as you do to stay here. Whilst it's advertised that housekeeping work to 5pm, they'd clearly forgotten or intentionally missed us as it was only ever very rushed service we eventually got.

Location is excellent, right in the heat of Duval Street and all the benefits this brings. There are numerous bars and restaurants within a few seconds walk and many of the famous Key West attractions are in walking distance. There's also a pretty big car park and parking in the area is usually hard to find.

The staff were pleasant, especially given they seemed to be constantly being shouted at by people who weren't happy that the hotel is a partial building site. Michelle, the night manager, was particularly nice.

I'd be interested to see what the hotel looks like when it's finished. I'm guessing the rates will be triple what we paid by that time though! For what we paid, it was "ok". If the housekeeping had been better, I'd probably have stretched to four stars as the location was so good.

I stayed here one night for work. They are doing some remodeling at the moment and the hotel is/will be very beautiful once it’s complete. The rooms are very nicely decorated. My first room did not have working a/c at all. They moved me to another room (the only other available room) and that a/c was not very cold either. I rated 3 stars only because of the a/c issue. I hate sleeping hot and at over $300 a night the rooms should be as cold as one would like. I had to call the desk a couple of times to get a room change and didn’t get moved until 11:30 at night.

Great stay this past weekend at La Concha, strongly recommend doing activities during the day to avoid constructions noise. Richard was a class act couldn’t have a better person to encounter when entering the premises. Will be back once construction is complete!

The hotel is going through renovations (as of 4/5/24), so it’s hard to give a fair rating.

The location is great!!! The pool was out of service the days that we stayed. If that’s what you’re looking forward to, check with the hotel first. Breakfast is NOT included with the stay. Each room gets a $30 a day voucher, but breakfast is $30 per person. A breakfast for four will run you $100.

The bathroom in our room had a sliding barn door. Massive gaps that made privacy impossible. If you’re stomach starts rumbling, the lobby bathrooms is best.

Rooms are renovated nicely. Just wish there was a stairs from the lobby to second floor. Service is always amazing.

It’s really unfortunate as a Marriott Titanium Elite member no one from the La Concha followed up with me about some concerns about our stay. I sent a message upon check out and never heard anything back…

Anyways - location & front door staff are the only redeeming thing about this property.
We stayed in a King Studio Suite (room 249) and it needed some serious attention.
-Patio door was not secure. Flew open in the middle of the night at 4am waking us up in a panic. Neither lock secures the door
-A bed sheet covers the window rather than a proper curtain… at this price point, go buy a proper curtain or don’t put people in this room?
-Room entry door does not close on its own causing security concerns

What really upset me was the lack of follow up - I expressed concerns and they didn’t respond.

One of the biggest perks of La Concha is its unbeatable location. Situated right on Duval Street, you're in the center of all the action. The shops, galleries, bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Historic sites like the Hemingway Home and Mallory Square are just a short walk away.
The hotel is going through a major remodel and let me just say the rooms are clean comfortable. Lastly, the staff was impeccable. A special thanks to- Manager McKinley for all your help and front desk help Maria and Julia for your help and all the rest of the staff. I'll be back.

When we stayed, the property was still under renovation, many common areas, not open… Construction equipment, and debris was mostly hidden, but not entirely. During the day, some construction sounds were audible. Even though we arrived at 2 PM and check in was listed at 3 PM, we were not checked into our room until 445. Front desk, staff, while capable, were less than friendly.

The room itself was very small. There is not enough room to set up a workstation of any kind so if you are planning on working during your stay, this is not the place for you! The air conditioning in our room didn’t work quite as well as one might hope for in the Florida Keys and this was in March. I would hate to think about what it’s like in July.! The pool is quite small also, and it’s location in the building means that there’s only sun between about 8 AM and 2 PM.

Those are the downsides… Now for the good parts: the service in the bars and common areas was excellent! Andrea was a great bartender, and took really good care of us, housekeeping staff were also very good and responsive. The location on Duval Street is unbeatable, you can turn in either direction, and there are 1 million things to do. The bed was quite comfortable with plenty of pillows, which felt just right to us.

I want to give this place 3 1/2 stars but since that’s not an option, we’re going to go with three stars.

Great location! Expensive! Our 2-night $1,300 stay in a regular 2 queen room was nice. Their $30 per person buffet breakfast, even with a $30 coupon was a lot if there are multiple people having breakfast. There's plenty of parking, the hotel is very clean and Richard was awesome with handling bags, directions and a great asset to the hotel. There's construction right now but it wasn't a problem as it's Spring Break and there are other noise issues to consider. Location, location, location ????????????

Great stay, would highly recommend.
We read the reviews about construction and were a bit worried. And yes, small parts were still under construction, it was not a hindrance or nuisance... im guessing the work that caused those reviews is complete. Centrally located on Duvall which has its pros and cons. Service outstanding, great staff, clean hotel, and a tropical/relaxing atmosphere.
Marriott Bonvoy status is recognized.

I booked and paid for our room through Expedia with my Mastercard October for Thanksgiving week. When we checked in the young girl told us at the front desk that their new program was we could go to the bar and restaurant that they have and it would get billed to our room. So at check out I told her that the bar and restaurant bill to put on my husband’s Citi card. Well after we got home she charged us for the room on that card as well. We have been trying to get this resolved now for 3 months. I have called several times I have sent several emails. But no response. The front desk lady even said yes you were billed twice. But still this has not been fixed. I hope owner or ceo or someone can help this situation. I have been charged twice. Very upsetting! Beware when staying here you may get charged twice. Well it is now going into 4 months with no response. How can this hotel get away with charging their customers twice? This is completely insane! So I have seen several people have been charged twice on the reviews. Just WOW maybe we need to call getting results on news 6 and put this out there on the news!

First time in Key West and we stayed at the LaConcha on Duval for 5 nights. Great experience from the moment we checked in with Julia at the front desk. Julia was very welcoming and followed up with us throughout our stay. Location is perfect! Already planning our next trip back.

My friends and I took an impromptu get away (we live in UM) ~ last minute arrangements were tricky. Lucked upon La Concha - oh how lucky we were! From the moment we arrived (the mojito tasting was delightful) to the extended time of our checkout two days later... The complimentary bikes were absolutely perfect as we visited every single inch of the island we could in our short time!
The beds were extremely comfy! Pillows were divine!

Gladia, at the front desk, took extraordinary care of us, above and beyond, what reservation services generally do...she was our own personal Concierge!!!
I truly look forward to my return visit next month!
This Islamorada girl had a grand time at this Grand Ol' Dame!
XOXO
