A festival honoring the author Ernest Hemingway whose home is in Key West. On the program: contests, animations and conferences.

This festival is one of the first ten in America for the summer period. The festivities are organized around Ernest Hemingway's birthday, which falls on July 21. The best and most popular part is the week-long look-alike contest. And to keep up with the tone: beer drinking contests, arm wrestling, fishing, food fairs, street parties, not to mention, for the more literary, a short story contest, declamations of short stories and conferences.
