LOGGERHEAD KEY
The largest island of the Dry Tortugas, marked by its lighthouse, accessible by kayak or private pleasure boat, wrecks around
It is the biggest island of the Dry Tortugas and it is especially recognizable by its lighthouse. It is possible to visit it only during the day by staying on the marked trails. It is located about 5 km from Garden Key, the island of Fort Jefferson, where the ferry stops. To get there, you have to come by kayak (remember to take a kayak on the ferry beforehand, but you will have to contact the company in advance for space reasons) or by private pleasure boat. Also note: the numerous wrecks around the island are a delight for divers.
