Maanrouf is a local sculptor who makes beautiful creations in wood. The dense and heaviest of all woods of the Calophyllum genus called Takamaka does not resist him. Beautiful boxes are made from Sapelli with a red or purple-brown grain; native to the Congo basin. Movingui, another hard yellow wood, is also used.
