Trophées du Tourisme, Label Professionnel de qualité, Titre d'Etat de la Cuisine faite maison - terms so rarely seen on the island, but found here to Grande-Terre's great pride. Hosted with brio by master restaurateur Davy Lesches, l'Hippocampe seems like a UFO in the Mauritanian culinary landscape. This grand, haute cuisine (from kangaroo pavé to vigneronne sauce!) is located in the Kawéni area, and as its cuisine expands, so does its clientele. We love it!

Très bonne cuisine dans un endroit qui ne paie pas de mine!
J ai découvert ce resto grâce à des amis, car il n est pas visible de la rue, mais se situe au fond de l impasse de la caserne des pompiers à Kaweni. La carte n est pas très grande mais les plats sont très bons et très copieux. En dessert je vous conseille le tiramisu spéculoos framboises!
