This superb building, dating from 1917, is São Miguel's "Opera House". It has been recently and beautifully renovated. Numerous grandiose performances take place here, and internationally renowned artists come to perform. Philharmonic concerts, circuses, balls and even exhibitions are all on the program. Check out the program before you arrive in the Azores on the website or Facebook page. Guided tours of the site can be arranged on request, by filling in the form on the website.
