TOWN HALL AND SINEIRA TOWER
A fine Baroque building whose façade is adorned with a Gothic shield bearing the national coat of arms of Ponta Delgada.
Right in the center of Ponta Delgada, this is a fine example of Baroque architecture. The façade is adorned with a Gothic shield bearing the national coat of arms, surmounted by the royal crown and, above it, the cross of the Order of Christ. The belfry, whose16th-century bell was donated by King Dom João III, dates from 1724. It is probably the most remarkable feature of the building. It is possible to visit it. It's not very high, but the view is still pretty.
