VIVO DO FRANCISCANISMO MUSEUM
Museum revealing the history of the Franciscans in Ribeira Grande and throughout the archipelago.
Closed for some 30 years, this museum reopened its doors on February 14, 2013. It reveals the history of the Franciscan order in Ribeira Grande and throughout the archipelago. An interesting visit, but much of the information is not translated into either English or French, so if you don't speak Portuguese, it can be a little tricky to grasp everything precisely! If you have the opportunity to climb to the top of the tower, the view is splendid.
